Encore Home Styles was opened in November 2007 by the mother/daughter team of Judi Supplee and Dena Blackburn. The pair had been operating a successful home staging business and were constantly being asked by clients if they had a store. It seemed the eclectic styling the duo used was appealing to a wide range of people. Judi and Dena began seeking a location to house their new venture and decided on the historic district in Longmont. Within a month of choosing the site they had managed to make over the space and gather enough inventory to open their doors. After only a year in their cozy little store they realized they needed more room to fully expand their vision. Moving just one block north they doubled their showroom space and have been able to introduce a greater selection of products to their loyal customers.
Each visit to Encore is a new experience. With an ever-changing inventory there is always something different to see. Judi and Dena are dedicated to bringing unique, affordable and stylish products to a market that has been lacking in retail options far too long. At Encore you will find art and jewelry crafted by local artisans, whimsical hand-painted cocktail glasses, home décor and gifts galore!
Judi Supplee
Born and raised in California Dena and her family escaped the hectic lifestyle of Orange County to meet up with her mom in Colorado. After nearly 20 years in the computer industry, Dena was excited to begin a new career as co-owner of Encore. Balancing family and career is a constant challenge but Dena is embracing her creativity and loves the opportunity to learn something new every day. With the constant support of her husband Chris, Dena is able continue her work and also pursue her hobbies of yoga, dance, gardening and travel.
Dena Blackburn
Originally from California, Judi has always been creative: sewing, decorating and entertaining with style. After living in Hong Kong for five years Judi moved to Florida where she began a career as a realtor. Wanting to be closer to family, Judi relocated to Colorado in 2005. Using her experience in real estate and her passion for decorating Judi launched Encore Home Staging & Redesign with her daughter Dena. Judi’s tireless efforts and innovative ideas help Encore to remain fresh and exciting and keep her customers coming back for more! When she finds time to relax, Judi enjoys scuba diving, bicycling and hanging out with family and friends.
